Independent: Different brands of nail polish remover (with different amounts of acetone), different colours of nail polish and different applicators to take it off (e.g. cotton bud or cotton wool).
Dependant: the number of coats each nail polish is applied on (2 coats for all nail polishes), the temperature at which its applied (room temperature), the length of time from the nail polish applied to the nail polish removed (1 day after its been applied).
Controlled: The experiment will be conducted on my acrylic/ fake nails.
